The Flats at Malcolm Yards is a planned 143-unit, six-story building in the Prospect Park neighborhood. Lupe Development and Wall Companies are collaborating to bring this affordable building to the mixed-income community at Malcolm Yards. The property will feature a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom units. The Flats at Malcolm Yards is an important piece of a vibrant new neighborhood along with The Market at Malcolm Yards, an urban food hall; and Malcolm Station Apartments, a seven-story, 210-unit market rate, multifamily housing project with 6,700 square feet of commercial space. The affordable building is located on the south side of a proposed greenway through Malcolm Yards that is part of a missing connection of the Minneapolis Grand Rounds, a bicycle and pedestrian loop throughout Minneapolis. Leasing will start in late February. Building will be completed in late June of 2023.
