Little Canada Senior Housing is a proposed 106-unit, 100% affordable senior (age 55+) rental housing community in Little Canada, Minnesota. The four-story project would be built on a 2.63-acre vacant site at 99 County Road B East, near the border of Little Canada and Maplewood. Little Canada primarily consists of single-family homes. This project will bring high quality affordable senior housing to Little Canada. This development project will provide financially accessible senior housing; giving seniors an opportunity to age in place in near transit, amenities, parks and open space. The project will set aside 11 units to serve households with extremely low incomes. These 11 units will serve high priority homeless households who will receive housing support from Simpson Housing; Simpson will bring full-service case management for these residents.
The building will have first floor common areas and amenities including lobby, fitness center, community/clubroom with kitchen, outdoor gardening, business center, package and mail room, trash and recycling facilities, and leasing/management offices. The project will include approximately 97 parking spaces through a combination of below ground and outside surface at-grade stalls.
