Ecumen plans senior rentals in downtown

A site near the Milwaukee Depot in downtown Minneapolis could become the latest in a flurry of apartment projects — but one of only a very few aimed at seniors.

Finance & Commerce reports on plans by Shoreview-based senior housing developer and operator Ecumen to build 149 senior apartments at 428 S. Second St. in Minneapolis. The site is adjacent to the Riverwest condo building and a planned apartment project called Latitude 45, developed by Alatus, and it’s kitty-corner from the MacPhail Center for Music.
